Mission Pinot Gris

Mission’s Blind River Estate in Marlborough is a series of gentle slopes with sandy loam over free draining clay soils, this 2020 VS Pinot Gris was picked off the mid slopes from more modest yields with a higher degree of mineral freshness. Using only free run juice the flavours are true and nicely expressed within a creamy, lees aged centre. An off dry style with apple freshness, it’s also nicely priced.

Lovely weight of fresh fruits infused with baking spice complexities. A filmy texture and creamy acidity support the lightly tart flavours to a mouth-watering finish with a hint of sweetness. Enjoy by itself or with richer seafoods and roast poultry, now through 2023.
